Cute Scrunch Boots by Fitzwell
Anne frequently calls me to ask about shoes. Well, this time she had a tip for me. She found the Fitzwell “Adaira”, a pair of slouch boots in wide calf widths. Perfect for gals whose legs are a little larger. The black nappa leather looks fantastic and they also have this style in a rich dark brown. It comes in both standard M and wide W widths. But, we need to review something about the overall fit and how they compare to other related styles in just a minute. The 15 inch shaft makes for a cute, tall boot without overdoing it. And the heel is a low 1 1/4 inch which many of you ladies prefer.
Order at least a half size smaller.
One important detail women should be aware of. These slouchy boots run almost a full size larger and wider than marked. So, when ordering, be sure to pick a size 1/2 or even one full size smaller than you normally would. The result will be a much better fit.
But if a woman has extra large, athletic calves, this may be a great fit without making any adjustments for size measurements. One reviewer mentioned that she has small, narrow ankles. She liked the fact that the shaft design actually hid the ankle gap that might have otherwise occurred.
Another thing that makes the “Adaira” unique is the way Fitzwell was able to blend in a hint of a western boot with the styling of the slouch boots we were shopping for. It’s not really a cowboy look, but just s subtle western influence. After several reviews, the feedback is very positive for this item. Customers enjoy the 3/4 zipper and the decorative buckles on the side.
